Halfmoon Bay
Big welcome to Halfmoon Bay School as they join out Ahi Pepe MothNet project.
Halfmoon Bay School is located on Stewart Island. The school has a strong focus on using the natural environment in learning programmes.
A small rural school with a big heart and a keen community by all accounts. With a decile of 5 and a school roll of 28 Halfmoon Bay School will be using our Te Taurapa - The stern of the waka - version of the Beginners' Guide to the Macro Moths. Although technically Stewart Island would of course be Te Poka - The anchor. We're interested to see how well the Te Taurapa Guide works that far south.
