Identification Guides
As part of our Ahi Pepe MothNet project, your school library will have a copy of the guide for your region this March – ask for it.
The Puka Whakamārama o Te Pepe Nui - Beginners’ Guides to the Macro-Moths are freely available for download for personal and education purposes. They have Creative Commons BY NC ND license which means you can download them, print them and use them but you can't sell them or change them and you must credit the source (Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research).
The Puka Whakamārama o Te Pepe Nui - Beginners’ Guides to the Macro-Moths are long-format booklets in either Te reo Māori or English that fold up and are designed for use by small children as well as adults in the outdoors. You can purchase them printed on high quality, water resistant card from the Ahi Pepe MothNet shop. All profits from this shop go back into the Ahi Pepe MothNet project. Please email us if would like hard copies we have a social enterprise model where we ask those who can afford to pay to pay but cost should not be a barrier to enthusiasm for moths.
